WOMEN’S RISE & INFLUENCE INDEX

WOMEN’S RISE & INFLUENCE INDEX

Mapping the full spectrum of influence

A multidimensional framework for assessing women’s leadership and impact in emerging economies

A single score out of 100, structured around six pillars – offering a snapshot of where women lead and where change is underway.

Existing global rankings (WEF, UNDP, CFR, GIWPS, etc.) often rely on OECD and Western benchmarks, placing many developing and emerging countries at the bottom and overlooking their real dynamics, progress, and local specificities.

The Women’s Rise & Influence Index (WRINDEX) introduces a new lens: measuring women’s actual influence on society, the economy, and public decision-making, highlighting advancement where it truly happens.

A multidimensional approach
Rather than limiting itself to counting seats, WRIndex captures the full spectrum of influence.

A 6 pillars’methodology:

Political leadership

Influence of women in government, strategic ministries, political parties and community leadership roles.

Economic power

Women’s leadership in business, entrepreneurship, and both formal and informal economies.

Society & Opinion

Women’s voice in media, civic movements, unions, and faith-based organizations.

Knowledge & Innovation

Women’s contribution in education, research, STEM, and culture.

Legal and institutional framework

Laws, policies, and institutions that foster or limit women’s participation.

Perception & Recognition

Social acceptance and visible female role models.
